Fresh Water

As Sandra Postel of Worldwatch pointed out several years ago, water would be one of the major sources of conflict in the future.  With the lack of access to fresh water  increasingly a problem for the poor as well as many of the more affluent countries, this issue will demand attention at the World Summit.

New World Summit Dates Confirmed!

August 26th to September 4th, 2002 have been officially confirmed as the new dates for the World Summit. Originally scheduled to end on September 11, 2002, the conference has been rescheduled to avoid the anniversary date of the US terrorist attacks.
