The NYC Department of Buildings announced new Energy Code Compliance Rules

In December, the New York City Council passed a set of measures known as the 'Greener, Greater Buildings Plan'. One of the elements was a new Energy Conservation Code. Now the NYC Department of Buildings has proposed compliance rules for implementation of the energy conservation code.

On May 18, 2010 at 10:00 am, a public hearing on the proposed energy code compliance rules will be held at the Executive Offices of the Department of Buildings, 280 Broadway, 6th Floor Training Room, New York.

Written comments may be submitted to Deborah Taylor, Chief Sustainability Officer, New York City Department of Buildings, 280 Broadway, 7th floor, New York, New York 10007, on or before May 18, 2010.
